Our Story

Akureka was born from a simple frustration: there weren't enough digital tools built specifically for Malaysian businesses. Most SaaS products are designed for Silicon Valley workflows, pricing in USD, and use cases that simply don't translate here.

We started with a question: what would it look like to build world-class software, but rooted in Malaysian business realities? LHDN e-invoicing, local e-commerce pricing, Bahasa Malaysia support — these aren't afterthoughts for us. They're the foundation.

"Akureka" is a mashup of two Malay words — "Aku" (I/We) and "Reka" (Design/Build). It's our name, our promise, and our operating philosophy. We design. We build. We own the outcomes.

Today, we run four products and serve thousands of users across Malaysia. We're still a small, focused team — and that's intentional. We'd rather ship something excellent with two people than ship something mediocre with twenty.
